Boasting views of the garden, all units in the property come with private entrance and a pool with a view. The farm stay offers some units that feature a balcony and lake view, and units are fitted with a private bathroom and a wardrobe. At the farm stay, each unit is fitted with bed linen and towels. We had a great time here – doing absolutely nothing – just enjoying the lodge. The swimming pool was great. They have a ayurveda spa but we didn’t have time to try it out. There were some very friendly dogs and also some very long eared goats in their farm !! Also some delicious home-grown organic lemons, mangoes and passion fruit that we really enjoyed. The accommodation is very comfortable, not luxury. The toilets had an open to sky area as well, which we loved. They have been very considerate in protecting the environment and natural flora, so don’t expect manicured lawns although there were some ladies planting grass near the new summer hut by the lagoon. We have never seen so many butterflies – and heard that the owner plants many plants to attract butterflies and birds. The staff was also very attentive but their English was not great. Sadly we booked only 1 night but this is a place that one should stay for a minimum 2-3 nights.

Had a lovely two night stay - they staff are wonderful, the close proximity to Yala meant we were one of the first heaps in. The first night we visited a fisherman’s temporary village and small farm on the park buffer zone followed by an appetiser next to a lagoon with crocs. Loved it!!

We really loved our stay in Yakaduru, and especially the tour around the property and in farmers’ village with Nishantha who did everything to make our stay memorable. Food was good, property was clean and location is perfect, very close to Yala. Thank you

Such a wonderful experience! When we arrived, Nishanta was so welcoming and showed us the bufferzone of Yala national park. We spotted crocodiles and learned a lot about the local farmers. The other staff is also very lovely and the food was very good. We really enjoyed our stay thanks to them!

Nicely designed property with beautiful interior decor touches and a natural eco friendly feel. Lovely, helpful staff. Very welcoming, we felt like house guests where nothing was too much bother. Very nice breakfasts (on quality tableware) and tasty meals prepared by advance order. Located on a beautiful quiet beach with a couple of beach restaurants nearby. Cows sauntered down to the beach every evening, very rural feeling!

This lovely lodge was like your own little house. It was near to the owners house so you felt safe but had a lovely rustic feel with lots of nature surrounding you. Very clean and good size bed. Air conditioning was great. Family and owner were extremely friendly and welcoming. They cooked amazing authentic food. The bbq under the stars was a fabulous touch. Great proximity to Yala National park for a safari. The lodge arranged everything.

It’s a rural location surrounded by nature , if your after late night beach bars and party’s this is probably not the place for you , but if you want great food prepared by an amazing host in a beautiful part of Sri Lanka , look no further .
