Search farm stays in Matara District

A serene space in the heart of the jungle, surrounded by trees & peaceful scenery. You have to cross 2 streams to get to the property, making it a very magical experience. The host was very attentive, going above & beyond for us during our stay. He also took us on a hike in the area, which was one of the best hikes we’ve done. It gives you a true glimpse into rural Sri Lankan life, a highlight of our trip. We also went on a tour of Sinharaja, organised by the host, which was also amazing. We couldn’t recommend this space more.

A glimpse of rural lifestyle of Sri Lanka.

We loved the property. It is a new villa and the rooms were well equipped, comfortable, clean. Luxury boutique hotel. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable especially Roshan and the boys Kazan, rasika and abhithea were very sweet and couldn’t do enough for you. Breakfast was delicious and pool snacks good. We released baby turtles from a tiny farm run by the government ecological area to save the eggs from predators. The hotel also called us when the turtles came to lay their eggs.

Rural and clean

Nice staff, big rooms, working air conditioning, good location next to a beautiful beach near some lovely rustic beachside food venues.

We (family of four) really liked the warm hospitality of the hosts. They were always very kind and helpful and very easy to talk to. Also we liked the special breakfasts and dinner, which was absolutely delicious. Personally I liked the morning walks around the village and rural area. As the guest house was about 1 km from the busy main street, you could see all kind of animals, birds and other wildlife during the walks. It was really liked visiting a zoo.
