Perfect setting in the Derbyshire countryside and an ideal location for visiting the Dales. We were very impressed by the owners' attention to detail and no expense spared on the fixtures and fittings. The cottage was immaculately clean, furnished to a high specification and fully equipped. The hosts were absolutely lovely and made us feel very welcome. The time they took to greet us and explain how things worked was much appreciated. They were also very generous in the provision of absolutely everything we needed, including items such as dishwasher tablets which you would not normally expect. The welcome basket was full of delicious, luxury goodies many of which were produced locally. Orchard Cottage can be highly recommended, it is certainly the nicest cottage we have ever stayed in and we had a wonderful time.

The property was lovely, set in a leafy, quiet position. The hosts provided self serve breakfast provisions with a well appointed kitchen, and went to extra effort by leaving a welcome drink and chocolates. Parking was extremely good, off street and safe. I would recommend this property to all visitors to Uttoxeter.

a very lovely village with amazing views all around. We went on hour long walks, extremely dog friendly all around us. We didn't find the cottage at first, but Sue was very kind and helpful! The care package was so sweet, we enjoyed it very much. The cottage was so cosy and inviting. The kitchen was unbelievably well stocked so we could make anything and everything we desired! This was a great value for money in our opinion and we will definitely recommend to our friends and family and we ourselves will come back again :)

The host had thought about everything that we would need for our stay. The fridge was stocked with milk, there were ice cubes in the freezer, fresh flowers on the table etc. It was nice and warm ready for our arrival and the welcome basket was a lovely touch.

It’s a beautiful, extremely well-maintained property with excellent hospitality. The staff were friendly and welcoming. Joan is a fabulous host and she works very hard to keep all the guests happy. Dannah Farm Country House is the perfect blend of luxury and homeliness. Our suite came with a private sauna and a massive hot tub, bedroom with four poster bed, dining area and lounge. The attention to detail in each room was amazing. The breakfast is delightful, made with fresh ingredients. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and hope to get back soon.
