The location was beautiful in a gorgeous little village on the edge of the Peak District. The cottage was immaculate and roomy with absolutely no attention spared to detail.

I had a wonderful stay! The staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming. My room was beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean, and very comfortable. The breakfast was delicious, with plenty of options to choose from. Not to mention the exceptional restaurant (listed in the Michelin Guide, which speaks for itself) and the beautiful Sunday roast I enjoyed. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Derbyshire!

Beautiful hidden gem. Fabulous location beside the river and in simply wonderful surroundings with the pond, trees and wildlife. Warm welcome from the owners and great welcome pack on our arrival. The Chapel was warm and cosy, the bed was really comfortable and the wood burner was wonderful! The Christmas tree and lights were a lovely touch as was the wine and Bakewell tart. I so enjoyed my stay and the visit to Chatsworth. Thank you Mary and Stuart, I really hope to be there again.

The host had thought about everything that we would need for our stay. The fridge was stocked with milk, there were ice cubes in the freezer, fresh flowers on the table etc. It was nice and warm ready for our arrival and the welcome basket was a lovely touch.
