Just about everything, it was simply paradise. We had a Garden Suite - Cacao 2 which was a piece of heaven! So intimate, surrounded by lush tropical vegetation…the most romantic hotel room I have ever been to. The entrance to the room is made of 10 or so steps followed by walking on a bridge amidst the tropical garden. Also the views of the Cacao 2 were fabulous… Very few insects overall, less than expected for sure. We had a problem with the toilet water and they immediately fixed it. The staff is so friendly and warm. From the ones in tbe lobby, restaurants to the one at the Spa and the ones doing the activities on site. The MMP experience programme is beautifully designed. We managed to do the coffee plantation and cupping tour which was so intersting and delightful. Then the sustainability tour which is proof to the Balinese sense of community and respect for nature. Breakfast was incredibly delicious and the afternoon complimentary tea was excellent. We had a special Balinese music and dance performance by the local kids. So much talent and beauty it’s hard to put into words. From every small detail, little gift, big smile to the architecture and design of the resort, the infinity pools and jacuzzi, Munduk Moding Plantation is a piece of heaven on Earth.

The cold pool and jacuzzi, the beautiful sunset and fire-pit with marshmallows! To be honest nearly every aspect was perfect! We cannot wait to go back again! Staff were really helpful and simply wonderful. We went on the plantation trekking with Eddy and that was a great way to start the day and explore how the local ingredients grow. We stayed in cabin 7 which we loved as the view with the big tree in front was very special every morning to wake up to. Breakfast was delicious especially the pancakes. Definitely try the Ulekan restaurant, their chicken satay was the best we’ve tried in Bali so far!

This place is a sanctuary for relaxation. The views are stunning, the cabins are gorgeous, and the entire team exude such kindness and care that it's impossible to not feel at home. I was a bit nervous about the food not including many vegan options, and the kitchen even made me vegan bread for breakfast! I cannot recommend the spa services enough-- particularly the scrub which is a homemade concoction that will stimulate the senses and cells. I'm grateful to have discovered such a luxurious gem in Munduk and recommend it to anyone visiting Bali. Thank you for a rejuvenating stay. 🙏

The resort is located on a mountainside. There was a beautiful view from every place, including our terrace. There are a lot of stairs in the area (but not too steep, and most of them have railings), so Maha Hills is a great option for adults who are looking for relaxation and tranquillity. Spacious bathroom with shower and bathtub. A large swimming pool (again with THIS view) next to the restaurant serving delicious dishes, including Balinese cuisine. There is also a SPA on site, from which you can listen to the sound of the waterfall during a massage... these are amazing moments that are impossible to describe. Even though the facility is quite large, it has a unique, friendly and even family atmosphere. Maybe the view is worth $1 000 000, but these unique experiences are created primarily by people and their approach to guests - and this is priceless. We spent 4 days at the hotel. The Maha Hills team prepared a birthday surprise for me, which was not only nice, but... touching. Very nice staff, very clean resort, if you are lucky you can spot monkeys on their property. Terrific view. Helpful people. Waterfalls are only a 5-10 minute walk away from the hotel.
