You have found your urban resort in Colmar: L'Esquisse, a 5-star Hotel & Spa in the heart of the historic centre. Breakfast was fantastic, lots of variety. Location of the hotel is excellent. It's in the centre of a park, surrounded by lovely greenery. And it's walking distance to the old town.

The village of Colroy-la-Roche, between Strasbourg and Colmar, in the heart of a landscape of preserved valleys, breathes simple and true nature. The property is in a beautiful setting and has a very nice interior design. Everything is clean and the spa team was very friendly and did a great job. Dinner was also nice and the dining staff were very professional and accommodating. When we arrived late around 9:30pm, the restaurant manager, I believe, let us know that the restaurant is closed but they can whip up a charcuterie plate for the group.

The restaurant is a 2-Michelin restaurant, and we enjoyed it very much. The food was great, and the service was great. You can feel the holiday spirit there. It's a magical place.

I cannot fault this hotel in any way. It is FABULOUS. Lovely, warm, friendly staff. Unbeatable location, in the middle of old Strasbourg. We had a gorgeous room, wheelchair accessible, with the lovely wheelchair accessible bathroom, the most important thing for me, as a wheelchair user. Now, it is in the area of the city that is paved with cobblestones, so it can be a bit rough on the wheelchair, but that's not the fault of the hotel. I've already recommended this to my two brothers, who will be travelling with their wives or families in due course. This place is GORGEOUS.

Very helpful staff (especially - many thanks to Louise). Excellent breakfast. High quality restaurant for dinner. Great spa. Large outdoor pool and very special indoor pool. Heaven! We would definitely recommend for others and surely return by ourselves.
