The creative force behind the hotel is Andy’s wife Kim who takes an active role in shaping the Cromlix experience. The interiors are alive with the vibrant colours of nature, verdant greenery and botanical flourishes and filled with contemporary art and imaginative moments. Inspiration has been drawn from the naturally peaceful setting and sprinkled over with a little fun and a generous helping of drama. From the upholstery to the fresh florals, from the artwork to the lettering on the menu, each detail has been carefully, personally, curated – with a strong preference given to local Scottish artisans, suppliers, and designers. Top Hotel; very good service, nice rooms. And quiet with good restaurant.

All rooms have their own en suite shower, with bathrobes and complementary toiletries supplied, with the Superior Four Poster room featuring a decadent roll top bath. Each room has a 32-inch flat-screen TV, mini-fridge and tea and coffee facilities. The hotel is in a lovely area of Stirling in close walking distance of Stirling Castle, and about 15 minutes walk from the train station. The staff were incredibly lovely, friendly and generous with their time, making many recommendations of places to go and the best ways to get there. The guest lounge and dining room are lovely and comfortable, and the room was beautiful, with a very comfortable bed and lovely toiletries provided (combination shower gel + shampoo & conditioner). The breakfast included was absolutely delicious - we had porridge with whisky, brown sugar and cream, and pancakes with bacon and maple syrup. The orange juice was freshly squeezed and the coffee was lovely. Will be recommending highly!
