Hotel Atitlan, located in front of Lake Atitlán, is a rustic-style property offering extensive gardens and panoramic views of Atitlan Lake. It has an outdoor pool, hot tub, and a botanical garden. The location, the friendly staff, the hotel itself (decor, comfort, garden, access to the lake, etc.) Booking sold a standard room with king bed using pictures from the suite (with view on the volcanos). The staff immediately upgraded our room with no additional cost whereas booking didn’t even reply to my customer’s service message!! Really unprofessional compared to the hotel’s manager.

What amazing hotel. This was my second time in Atitlan and last time I made the mistake of staying in a larger village. This time I chose a smaller village and Aviva hotel, and it was the perfect choice. The room was incredible, comfy bed, stunning views, tasty coffee and a terrace to relax. And the breakfast was sooo good. Run, don't walk to stay here if you visit lake atitlan.

My fiancée asked me to marry him there and there genuinely would not have been a more special surrounding. Astrid was also amazing as were all the staff we interacted with. Allowed us to check out late and leave our luggage whilst we explored. We then missed our boat to Panajachel and they let us stay an extra night with no hassle.
