Mystery Hotel Budapest, Preferred Hotels & Resorts is a historically themed luxury hotel located in the 6th district in downtown Budapest, in an eclectic palace built in the 19th century. This 5-star hotel offers free WiFi and in-house spa and wellness area. Hungarian State Opera is 900 m away and St. Stephen's Basilica is a 15-minute walk from the hotel. + Our room was spacious, airy and really well fitted. Having a toilet with no sink in it is a tad weird but nothing particularly uncomfortable. Noise levels are absolutely kept to a minimum, and the air conditioning is reliable. + The staff are absolutely great and definitely do their best to ensure guests have a great stay. We were even considering adding an extra night to our stay which would have been problematic since the place was almost booked out -- but the ladies at the reception still found a way to assist us. + The spa and the whole "hidden garden" concept is simply gorgeous and definitely adds to the overall charm of the places -- and there's certainly plenty of that! + Parking is at a rate of 25 EUR per day and is done off location via a valet - which is an easy enough approach to make sure guests don't have to worry about tight spaces, etc. Alternatively, street parking is also fairly easy and convenient.

The spacious, air-conditioned rooms feature luxurious Italian furniture and fabrics like silk wallpaper and Murano chandeliers. There is a minibar, coffee & tea making facilities, a safe, and satellite TV. The TV has an interactive guest experience centre. Could the highlight of a trip be the hotel? If you’re staying at the Anantara New York Palace, the answer is an absolute yes! My wife and I referred to the hotel as the “museum” for the duration of our stay (and still do) because of the mind-blowing interior and exterior architecture. Our stay was beyond amazing with excellent staff, automatic house-keeping multiple times a day, prompt laundry service, and rooms that were so very comfortable to stay in. We opted for the daily breakfast and boy am I glad we did! The morning feast was incredible with all sorts of hot and cold food options, drinks and desserts. The waiters and staff members were extremely courteous and will go out of their way to ensure that you have fully enjoyed your breakfast and stay. Lastly, their spa and additional features (massage rooms, therapeutics, etc) are enough to keep you busy for at least a day. I rarely give a 10 but this stay sincerely deserves it. I know where we will be staying any time we visit Budapest again! (10/10)
