I feel the need to praise the restaurant, especially the Makan kitchen, where I really enjoyed the buffet. The indian corner was tasteful and the chinese as well.

This was the perfect end to a 2-week stay in Malaysia. Our room (Executive King) was lovely - very spacious, huge comfy bed, bathroom with shower and bath, and great views over the historic centre and out to the sea. The breakfast was very good, with a great choice. The pool is huge and we had it to ourselves for a lot of the time. The Exec lounge area is comfy with a nice choice of refreshments. The hotel is easy walking distance to China Town, Jonker Street and the historic centre. But most of all, the staff were truly wonderful. Thank you to Douglas, Hilmi, the breakfast manager, the lovely lady from reception, and the doormen. You all made this stay very special, despite us feeling a little sad at the end of our holiday and after saying goodbye to our son who is off to work and travel in Australia for a year. The perfect end to a lovely holiday. I hope we get to come back.
