The spacious rooms are individually designed following the 4-seasons-of-the-year theme. Each features an LCD TV with in-room movies, free WiFi and a laptop-size safe. Central location, overall vibe and beds were very comfy. We had a courtyard/shopping mall interior room which was very quiet. Pool was cool.

Providing a restaurant, the property also has a bar, as well as a sauna. The property is non-smoking and is situated 2.8 km from Quinta das Palmeiras. We had to book this hotel very last minute after our flight to Madeira was diverted to Porto Santo. They were super accomodating with the last minute booking. The rooms were beautiful and clean, all staff were very friendly!

The room was beautifully maintained, the staff went out of their way to be welcoming and helpful, and the atmosphere throughout the hotel was warm and relaxing. Everything was thoughtfully arranged, making it a truly enjoyable experience. I would gladly stay here again

The accommodation offers room service, a 24-hour front desk and currency exchange for guests. Everything was perfect, I would never consider a different hotel if returning to Madeira. Casa Velha do Palheiro Relais & Chateaux is a 5-star manor house hotel situated in the old Palheiro Gardens in the foothills of Funchal. With access to the Palheiro Golf Course, guests can also have various golfing discounts. Excellent location, lovely personal and great atmosphere all together. It was quiet and cozy. The territory around is well maintained and very green, with beautiful garden. The breakfast and dinner were very delicious, I believe that everyone will find that will suit their taste. Personally I loved the omelette and variety of fruits at the breakfast and excellent fish and vegetarian dishes served at dinner. Almost forgot - the rooms are big, clean and comfortable.
