Staff very helpful & pleasant. Convenient location, comfortable & clean room, food - good evening meal but breakfast was superb - good choice

We had a very good experience. Booked it just before arriving for one night, but decided to stay another one, because it felt so cozy and relaxing. The place has suppressed us with its perfectly beautiful surroundings, very welcoming reception of the friendly owners, charming garden and its cleanliness. Was happy to wake up in the morning and hear the sounds of chickens, looking outside and seeing them and flowers under the window. What could be better!

Great location and after problem with room that we had booked , manager very generously offered us complimentary dinner and the food was superb…in particular Jakob our waiter was brilliant

A really friendly, characterful hotel. Outstanding value (we had room, dinner and breakfast). Meals were really tasty and high quality with lots of variety at the buffets. Friendly, well stocked bar, frequented by residents and locals too, which made it like a proper bar, not a sterile corporate hotel bar at all. Fantastic location just opposite the station and adjacent to shopping and riverside walks. Would thoroughly recommend.

Location and general atmosphere. Clean and fresh rooms (stayed in the newer part of the hotel). Service minded staff. Breakfast with very good selection. Restaurant with chefs recommendation.

The staff was outstanding nice and helpful. I was tired of 4 weeks driving a motorcycle. I intended to stay only 1 night. In the end, I stood 4 nights. I admire the calmness and the location directly towards the river. The breakfast is top, sanitary systems are clean. I had the pleasure of borrowing an old fishing rote. Superb location slap bang opposite the train station and short walk from the centre. Lovely staff who could not have been more helpful. Generous included evening meal and breakfast.

Breakfast was basic but adequate. The hotel is very Close to the Lars Lerin gallery which was the reason for our visit to Karlstad. Also nearby was the Carlstad Ölhall which had some superb real ales which was an added bonus. There were plenty of restaurants nearby within a ten minute walk.

I had a work trip to Karlstad and chose this hotel because of the location and good reviews. But it was so much more than a base for a work trip! The breakfast was outstanding, the hotel is a charming mix of period detail and modern facilities, the staff were exceptionally helpful in every way. I'm just sorry that work commitments meant I didn't have time to enjoy the pool. I guess I'll have to go back :)
