We had a wonderful stay at The Houghton Hotel during our trip to South Africa. The hotel is incredibly modern and stylish, with very spacious rooms. The bed was exceptionally comfortable—exactly what we needed after a long flight. One of the highlights was the breakfast, very tasty and lots of options. The staff were warm and welcoming throughout our stay, and we were especially grateful that they accommodated a very early check-in so we could rest right away. Although we didn’t get a chance to use the hotel’s amenities, we did take a look around and everything—from the pool area to the wellness facilities—looked top-notch and beautifully maintained. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a relaxing, upscale base in Johannesburg.

Located across the Menlyn Shopping Centre in Pretoria, Menlyn Boutique Hotel features an outdoor pool, a casual-dining restaurant, massage spa and conference facilities. Excellent accommodation which was spotlessly clean with everything required supplied. Great restaurant with knowledgeable and friendly staff serving lovely food. True hospitality from friendly staff.

The customer service and front desk is at “always available” on any information on the restaurant and assistance required! The entire estate is a holiday resort with all required!

Featuring free WiFi throughout the property, Hoeveld House offers accommodation in Sandton, 200 metres from Inanda Club. The hospitality, welcome and property were top notch. Andrew, the manager was extremely hospitable and was kind enough to give us a wonderful welcome as a honeymoon couple. We will not be staying anywhere else if we’re ever back in Johannesburg.

Forum Homini Boutique Hotel is set within a residential wildlife estate, only 13 km outside of Muldersdrift. It offers luxurious cave-style accommodation and a fine dining restaurant. The hotel is in a beautiful location. Saw wildlife every day. Security is excellent. Nothing is a problem for the staff and the food is out of this world. The ‘caves’ are luxurious and have every extra that you would need.

Four Seasons Hotel The Westcliff is a luxury 5-star hotel located within 1 km from the Johannesburg Zoo. Featuring an expansive lush garden, the hotel offers a restaurant, fitness centre. The service and the people attending to us as guests makes all the difference in a property. Without a well trained and dedicated, happy to serve staff, the most beautiful property can be a bad place to stay. So, our experience was completely complemented by the very lovely staff. The propert is beautiful and the restaurant wonderful. There is only one consideration that I as a woman and an architectural designer could suggest is that the bathroom lighting needs to be improved. Not good for make up application and pampering!
