Most rooms and suites have a balcony, while all of them are elegantly designed with classical furnishings. All air-conditioned accommodation has a flat-screen TV and the marble bathroom includes a rainshower and large bath tub. I've been fortunate enough to stay in many 5* hotels, but never have I experienced customer service on this level. The staff is so kind. Nothing is too much. Their attention to detail is beyond expectation and what makes the experience really unique is that their care for their is very personalised and seems genuine en sincere. The breakfast was amazing and their gym is also really good.

The hotel is elegant and beautifully located, offering stunning ocean views – we were even lucky enough to watch whales right from our room, which made the experience unforgettable. The room was spacious, spotless, and extremely comfortable, creating the perfect setting for a relaxing getaway. The restaurant exceeded our expectations with delicious food and excellent presentation, while the staff were incredibly professional, welcoming, and attentive to every detail. Their warmth and hospitality made us feel genuinely cared for. Overall, everything was simply outstanding – from the breathtaking views and whale watching to the fine dining and world-class service. We would highly recommend The Marine to anyone visiting Hermanus.

I stayed in a beautiful garden suite overlooking the lush garden and the main house, which provided the perfect balance of tranquility and elegance. The staff were consistently attentive, friendly, and incredibly helpful. The reception team stood out in particular—they gave me excellent tips for exploring the area and even arranged a shuttle for me when I needed it. Their professionalism and warmth really made a difference during my stay. The restaurant was another highlight. The menu is compact but offers dishes of exceptional quality. I especially enjoyed "Steak Friday," which had a great atmosphere and fantastic food. The bartenders were also very friendly and added to the enjoyable dining experience. Overall, Palm House Boutique Hotel and Spa exceeded my expectations. It’s a place I can wholeheartedly recommend, and I’m already looking forward to coming back in the future!
