Gravetye is the most beautiful manor house hotel. Everything was wonderful from the initial welcome to the room, the fabulous gardens, the exceptional service. We had the most fabulous stay.

We arrived here on day 3of a 6 day hike and it was paradise! Fantastic room, comfy bed, friendly staff, jacuzzi, sauna, pool and an exceptional breakfast before we set off again the following morning. Superb!

Room was good size and beds were comfortable. Tea, coffee was provided. As the name indicates the house is old and therefore the plumbing is kind of old as well. But it functions and that is all it matters. Hotel is in center of old town with all the restaurants, coffee shops and shops on the doorstep. Restaurant, and JC bar are connected to the hotel.

The Duck House is situated in Cowden, 23 km from Ightham Mote, 38 km from Crystal Palace Park, and 38 km from Glyndebourne Opera House.

Beautiful tranquil gardens , large ponds , wildlife . No noise apart from occasionally hearing the owls at night , just absolute heaven . Very private . Immaculately clean, very comfortable and relaxing modern interior. Comfortable beds with luxury bedding . We stayed early December, we were warm and snug, loved the under floor heating in the bathroom . Everything is planned and laid out well . Lots to see in the area and some first class restaurants recommended by the owners are left on the welcome pack . Would definitely love to return it was a magical experience staying at The Duck House . The owners are incredibly nice . You won’t get better than this .

Incredibly friendly staff who went out of their way to make sure we ha a great stay! Cosy room, very comfortable bed, big bathroom. Tea and coffee in the room, they even gave us fresh milk! Great menu, we had both dinner and breakfast. Beautiful dining area in the pub. Close enough to Gatwick to be convenient but no noise at all. Absolutely recommended!
