The facilities were wonderful. We expected the Alpus space but it was perhaps not opened in cold weather. Koi chan were lovely, food for them was even provided for guests to enjoy ^^ Free private bath reservation a huge bonus. Public onsen was also enjoyable. The room was lovely, spacious, with open access to the back garden where you could actually walk and play with Koi chan. Duvet was in pink color. The garden was so nice. It was lightened up in the afternoon too. Dinner kaiseki was in private room, with some good unusual items. We had free umechu.

True Japanese style big room. There is a enclosed balcony with two single sofa, good for a cup of tea. Very good toiletries. Lots of parking. Love the green tea and little snacks everyday. Also enjoyed the Japanese style tea pots. We were looking for a place near Kofu station, since that is the central station for both Bus and train from Tokyo. But didn't find any suitable one. You need a car to move around Kofu and around places comfortably. Hired a car from near Kofu Station (Nissan rent-a-car, also there are Toyota rent-a-car). Drove to hotel is about 20 mins from Kofu Station.

Staffs especially the young laday is very helpful and friendly. The morning view of Fuji mountain from our room window is stunning. Also the room is quiet just about 10 minutes by taxi from the station.

I had the chance to stay at Tokiwa Hotel in Kofu, and it was an absolutely perfect experience from start to finish. The service provided by the staff, both day and night, was simply outstanding, I have only experienced that in Palaces. Always present, smiling, and attentive, they anticipate every need with efficiency and kindness. Their warmth and genuine joy create a unique and welcoming atmosphere. The facilities are also of the highest standard: the men’s and women’s onsen are immaculate and deeply relaxing, while the hotel’s amenities reflect great attention to detail. The Japanese breakfast was an absolute delight, refined, generous, and the perfect way to start the day. On top of that, the restaurant recommendations given by the team were excellent. In short, everything was simply perfect. My stay at Tokiwa will remain unforgettable. I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel without hesitation.

It was professionally operated in every aspect and they went out of the way to ensure a comfortable stay in the room equipment and toiletries. The front desk staff not only helped call for a taxi for us but went out to wait with us so he could tell the taxi driver in Japanese where we wanted to go.
