Perfect location less than a minute from the stairs to the shrine. Only a 10 minute walk to the train. Loads of shops line the stairs. The hotel itself was exceptional: staff, facilities, onsen, restaurant, room - all were absolutely top notch. One of our best stays in Japan!

The traditional 10-course meals provided a cultural experience unlike any other. Each dish was not only delicious but also beautifully presented, making it a feast for both the palate and the eyes. It was a culinary journey that left me wishing I had booked at least two nights so I could indulge in these amazing meals again and again. What impressed me even more was the accommodation's accommodation of our gluten-intolerant guest. Next time I visit, I'll definitely plan for a longer stay at Asan Kotonami.
