Set in an ancient building, the property is designed in a creative combination of oriental and western style. Guests can enjoy free WiFi throughout the property. The hotel is situated on a gorgeous island just a short boat ride from Xiamen. We were given a fantastic room that far exceeded our expectations and really made our stay on Guyangyu special. The reception staff took care to meet us from the boat and communicated via WeChat very well, they even recommended an excellent restaurant. We will return.

Breakfast top up is worth it for the convenience and comfort, not a huge spread, however expect quality homely breakfast with food like soya bean milk, roasted sweet potatoes, I like their German ham. In short, Highly recommended for anyone seeking a unique, out of the beaten track and tranquil experience in Xiamen! They are new on booking.com , hence you will not get much review. These guys will do well once it gets popular, so do go before it gets way too crowded.

Our welcome soup and fruits was lovely. It was a delight to be served the afternoon tea in the tea room. A very good experience. The staffs were excellent and friendly. Very very helpful and we felt welcomed by Mr Zhang. The whole place is lovely, like entering a traditional Chinese courtyard house with tea rooms and a little garden and greeneries. Well preserved with probably the original wooden doors. Would recommend to stay to experience the atmosphere.

The hotel was very clean, and the mattress was extremely comfortable. Even if staff did not speak much English, with the translation app on your phone, they were extremely helpful and polite.
