Little piece of Paradise in the middle of the ocean. Perfect for relaxing and procrastinating. The staff (especially Ingrid) and service are just great. The food is amazing with a lot of local options that we loved. The setting is beautiful, amazing views and very private. No music, very premium environment. Our room was right on the sea, we woke up with the sun every morning. There were several activities available and we chose the night snorkelling. We had a magical moment swimming in the mangroves at night with the fluorescent phytoplankton (organised by Mucura travel). An experience to remember.

Set on the Baru Island, Hotel Agua Azul Beach Resort features a pool and private access to the beach. A restaurant is featured and breakfast is provided. Cartagena is 1-hour away by boat. Everything. The house is thoughtfully and beautifully decorated with local arts and crafts, the powder white sand and pristine crystal water, the food, those mojitos, and the friendly helpful staff.

We stayed at Hotel Isla Múcura, a true earthly paradise. We booked the deluxe bungalow with a sea view: equipped with air conditioning, spotless, and very cozy. The open-air bathroom is enchanting, offering the unforgettable experience of showering under the stars and among coconut trees. Breakfast was generous, with fresh tropical fruits and local specialties. There were plenty of free activities (yoga, volleyball, meditation, bingo, etc.) and paid ones (massages, snorkeling, water sports, and excursions). We joined the ecological walk around the island, which was very interesting, and experienced the unforgettable night swim with bioluminescent plankton in Tintipán. The hotel is set within a natural park with parrots, turtles, peacocks, a little monkey, and iguanas. The restaurant and bar are excellent. Highly recommended for anyone looking to disconnect and enjoy a true piece of paradise.

Fenix Beach Cartagena is located on Tierra Bomba Island and a 10-minute boat ride away from Cartagena. The property features a beach, an on-site restaurant and a bar. Such a powerful energy around the property - amazing people to meet and wonderful staff, delightfully comfortable rooms, excellent beachside cocktails and food, great music at night that you cannot hear if you go to bed early, quick and easy boat service… overall just an incredible experience. Vanessa, Jeison and Daisy were fast friends and really made our stay perfect!!! ❤️ And the dogs!!! If you’re an animal love you’ll have no shortage of amazing new friends. Absolutely fell in love with every single 4-legged baby I met! 🐶 Also pursuant to other reviews that we read before arriving… Yes, there is sand. It’s the beach. Wash your feet off by the pool before going to your room and your room will be sand-free. Seemed obvious to us, but worth mentioning based on past reviews. There is no hot water, but who would want it anyhow?! Showers are lukewarm which is perfect after a day at the hot beach. There is some trash in the ocean, but find me an ocean that doesn’t have its share of waste. Miami, San Diego, Costa Rica… they all have trash. But Fenix staff were doing their best to pickup what they can, but like anywhere in the world, more comes with every high tide. Enjoy the island life, and let go of your expectations. if you do, you’ll have the time of your life! ⚡️

All was fine , the beach is beautiful the only compliant about that was that the beach had a lot of seaweeds , the hotel is very beautiful it’s like a paradise white beaches blue seas , food quality and drinks are excellent despite its prices ( a little high ) but they worth it in summary 100 % recommended no regrets!

Hotel Playa Scondida Barú is a rustic-style lodge on Baru Island, 1 hour from Cartagena by motorboat. I am writing this review from Playa Blanca Baru. One can'' t comprare. In Playa Scondida it was so quiet, so family-like... of course if one likes solitude. The couple who takes care of you- are very nice people, ready to fulfill every wish of yours. All staff were extremely nice and friendly. The place is perfect for 3 days. Thank you for everything.
