Everything was perfect. The hotel is absolutely stunning, beautifully renovated. The pool and hot tub area is great with the morning sun. Big plus : super friendly staff.

Doté d'une piscine extérieure, de sources chaudes volcaniques relaxantes et d'un restaurant, l'Hotel El Silencio del Campo est situé à 6 minutes de route de Fortuna. It was the best hotel during my entire trip. Some improvements and comments (see below) did not affect the overall rating and I would gladly stay there again. I loved the nature around the hotel which is well taken care of, you can clearly see great work of gardener. Also, taking care of animals (e.g. feeding birds) is a nice practice. The views to the volcano are amazing. Hot springs were the highlights of my staying - clear and warm water surrounded by lush green nature and flowers. I do not know if the hotel was full or not but there were always plenty of sun beds and spots in the hot springs. People also seem to respect the place as there is no noise. The lady who worked at the bar was extremely nice and helpful and she made the best cocktails (not sure the name Maya, or Maria?). She also helped me to spot the sloth near by. You could clearly see she enjoyed her work. The room was very spacious and clean with all required amenities. Extra point for availability of repellent. The staff at the reception and restaurant was very friendly and helpful. As a customer you get a nice gift - a hotel bag. I can definitely recommend Hotel El Silencio del Campo.

Situé à Alajuela et offrant une vue sur le jardin, l’établissement Pura Vida Hotel comprend un jardin, un salon commun, une terrasse et un restaurant. En dehors du magnifique jardin et des chambres avec petite terrasse, un hôte très accueillant et disponible. Il a passé la soirée à nous aider pour trouver une voiture de location en utilisant ses relations. Une adresse à ne pas manquer.

Le Lost Iguana Resort and Spa propose une piscine extérieure, une salle de sport et un labyrinthe dans des jardins luxuriants. View was wonderful, room was spacious and clean. Food was good.

When we arrived I saw one of the most breath taking views ever. The volcano is so close and makes a crazy impression. I could just stare at it. I wish we could stay longer. Such a peaceful and calm environment, breath taking view on the volcano, well maintained gardens, fantastic pool. So much wildlife- we could hear hundreds of birds all the time. I recommend visiting nearby restaurants as there are so many just a few minutes away. The only thing I didn’t like was a dinner at the hotel restaurant- it was expensive and really not too tasty. Very „Americanized” menu. I would rather have something local and simple. Breakfasts were wonderful though.

Chato Arenal Lodge has a nice breakfast with fresh fruits and an amazing view from the restaurant. The room was super clean and the beds were very comfortable, I loved that the hotel is at a walking distance from La Fortuna waterfalls and a five minutes drive from the downtown where you can have access to restaurants, cafes and the hot springs. All the staff were very friendly and helpful, Esteban was very helpful and shared with me some beautiful location that I can visit. I highly recommend this place and will definitely be staying at Chato Arenal on my next visit to Costa Rica.
