Both breakfast and dining rooms are spacious with lovely views of the yard. And yes, I got my cream for coffee and cereal! The twin room was compact, clean and quiet after the local crows finished their morning chat. Selkirk and surroundings have a lot to offer sightseers. Beautiful country. The welcoming Wheatsheaf provides peaceful accommodation and award-winning food. It is located near Berwick-upon-Tweed, Coldstream, Duns and Kelso. The Hotel was very comfortable, and the room was huge. The lady running the bar the night we stayed was a credit to the business. Helpful, great laughs and great advice for the continuation of our trip. The chef came out for chat also it was just a very welcoming and enjoyable place to stay for our first night in Scotland.

This beautiful country house hotel from 1861, set in 28 acres of wonderful gardens and 4 Gold Stars (Visit Scotland) for affordable luxury 30 km from Edinburgh. Very good breakfast. Location convenient close to Peebles. Also quite good views from house. Lovely walled garden to walk around.
