Guests can enjoy home-cooked breakfasts made with locally-sourced ingredients, and a refined evening menu. Food is served in the pub bar, the beautiful riverside conservatory, and on the outdoor terrace looking across the gardens. Everything. Very charming and the Owner or Manager was absolutely a gem and so helpful and hospitable.

A Grade II Listed building, The Bird in Hand offers modern rooms in a traditional setting. The rooms have plasma-screen TVs and there is free Wi-Fi in the all areas.

Built in the 17th century, the Bird in Hand Inn retains many period features including Cotswold stone walls and beamed ceilings. There is a large fireplace in the winter and a terrace for summer dining. Very welcoming family owned hotel with an excellent restaurant that serves good food throughout the day, whether it is breakfast, lunch or diner. Every member of the staff is as friendly as the owners. One of my favorite places to stay. Even if it is for business that I stayed here, I would definitely return with my family when in the area.

Guests can also request a morning newspaper or a fresh fruit basket. Our second stay here, this time they upgraded us and I must say the upgraded rooms are worth the extra! We so enjoyed relaxing in the room with the doors to the Juliette balcony open, listening to the fountains. The room is super clean, comfortable and styled well.

It is in a perfect location away from the crowds of Burford, set in beautiful countryside. The pub and rooms had just been refurbished. The rooms were really cozy and the food was excellent. We visited lots of pubs in the area and this was definitely the best. The owner and her stuff were wonderful, welcoming and helpful, we would definitely love to come back.

Comfortable, spacious, light filled room (we stayed in the tapestry room) with adjoining bath, at the top of impressive historic home. We thoroughly enjoyed breakfast, sitting in the beautiful garden, walking in the surrounding countryside, and meeting our gracious hosts and their animals.
