It's a few years since I stayed in an Italian Hotel. On arrival, there's an initial sense of concern due to the overall outdated appearance of the hotel and it's rooms. But, very quickly, you realise that the success and joy of this hotel is based on a traditional and impeccable service, great food and a fantastic location. They get everything right. I cannot remember a more happy hotel.

Set in Mediterranean gardens, Arthotel Gabbiano Azzurro Due features 1 indoor and 1 summer pool, both free of charge. We stayed as a couple and 2 children. Excellent service, very nice owner. Inviting pool, quiet, parking, excellent breakfast. Affordable deal I would definitely come back again

Pool and beach were very nice, just consider this is not a sand beach, location is perfect as not too far from the ferry but ideal to start all excursions of the island. Free parking, staff was super nice and welcoming. It was also very nice that they changed scenery for breakfast and dinner. We had the dinner only one night, and it was also very good. Dogs were allowed and it felt all visitors enjoyed, families, couples, dog owners. What we specially liked was the garden. The outdoors area was nice and cleaned but the garden was absolutely beautiful with all flowers, olive trees and nice greenery.

We had the dinner included and it was the highlight of the trip, I don't know what would have happened if we would have to try to find food at those hours without a car. The beach was amazing.

Offering a pool overlooking the sea, Resort Capo Bianco is situated on the edge of a cliff in Porto Azzurro. The property has a bar and direct access to Reale Beach 80 metres away. The room was very clean and felt brand new and the view was breathtaking. I thought this place looked nice from the pictures, but we were very pleasantly surprised by our experience at this hotel for our honeymoon. A few small beaches are within walking distance and the pool is gorgeous and well-maintained. Breakfast was great as well!

Set on the beachfront at Campo nell'Elba on Elba Island, Hotel Montecristo offers air-conditioned rooms with a balcony. It features an outdoor pool, fitness centre and small wellness area. Our car being parked for us & brought back whenever we wanted for no charge. The swimming pool was very good. Our partial Seaview room had nice views & the balcony was useful for drying towels. Needed because only one beach towel provided for our 3 days. The complimentary beach bag provided was useful & nice souvenir of trip. Complimentary use of bicycles. Restaurants & shops a short walk along quiet beachfront lane separating hotel from beach. Reminded me of a quieter version of Hastings St in Noosa (Australia)
