The view off the back balcony is incredible. The staff is amazingly friendly and helpful. We love the walkability of the area - dinner, some shopping, and a nice treat.

Surrounded by vineyards, Belvedere Di San Leonino is located in Castellina in Chianti, in the heart of the Chianti area. Set in a historic country house from the 1400s, this property offers rooms decorated in a typical Tuscan style. The hotel is lying on the top of the hill with gorgeous views and a sunset do die for! There are outdoor seating groups facing all directions from this hotel. The pool was clean and of perfect size. But the very best thing about this place is the people, all the way from the receptionist, the ladies handling the amazing breakfast, the most attentive and pleasant waiters and the chefs which cooks some of the greatest food of Italy! We could recommend this place enough, we will come back. 5 days was not enough, but I think we would have that feeling no matter how many days we would have spent here.

In the evenings, guests can enjoy a drink in the American bar and then dine in the restaurant, which serves local Tuscan specialities with a modern twist. Wine and oil tastings can be arranged as well as cooking lessons. Location, stuff, perfect. The room has its little garden(shared with other guests). The location is near the top of the hill, making it perfect for the sunset.

The owners of the villa are very nice people, attentive and caring. Our room was once a church, but now it is a cozy room with a magnificent interior. The breakfast was amazing.
