The bed was really comfortable and the daily room service made it a joy to go back to the property to rest. The property is also very conveniently located next to the bus and train stations which made our day trips so convenient!

The staff were so kind and accommodating, and truly tried to go above and beyond for their guests. Every time we came back to the hotel we were greeted with an enthusiastic welcome back and ushered into the warmth and comfort of the reception area. Breakfast was exceptional and beautifully presented. The hotel also arranged for our luggage to be sent to our next destination which was extremely helpful as it meant we didn’t have to worry about storage lockers during our visit to nearby Shirakawa-go. Overall it was a wonderful experience and we’d be beyond delighted to come back.

The hotel is very beautiful and the japanese room is amazing. Very clean and comfortable, with attention to every detail. Drinks are provided for free and you have a kettle in your room. What really made our stay exceptional is the staff. They are very welcoming and kind. They make you feel like home and help you have a traditional japanese experience. This place holds a place in our hearts because of how the staff treated us. They offered us fresh made tea when we arrived with snacks and explained to us the japanese breakfast. Seriously very attentive and generous. I highly recommend staying here. We stayed for one night but I think two nights is better to enjoy the hotel and beautiful Takayama.

Absolutely stunning. I'm so glad I booked this house. Sitting in the hot tube was amazing especially while it was raining outside. It is not an Onsen, just a hot tube (as advertised). The breakfast was very tasty and we even could take a bath in an old Japanese bathroom. You could see how much effort had gone into the house. I wish I could stay there longer! The house is really amazing. You can feel like you were in old Japan.
