Offering an outdoor pool and restaurant, The Villa is set in Diani Beach in the Coast Region, 700 metres from The Diani Beach Shopping Centre. The rooms are clean, the furniture is new, the facility is well-maintained, the staff is friendly and helpful, the pool is clean, and having an espresso machine in the room is a nice treat. I will go again.

The atmosphere, peace and calm, friendly staff, lush gardens, tasty food, wildlife, sustainability focus were all amazing. I loved the African decor, gorgeous locally made wooden furniture. Then there's the room. Garden view offers magical morning birdsong and afternoon acrobatic shows from the colobus monkeys. The beach access is superb, nothing short of a wonderful stay. Definitely coming back.

Offering beachfront accommodation in Diani Beach, Sonrisa Villas features a swimming pool, bar and BBQ facilities. Guests can relax in the garden or enjoy a drink and some sunshine on the terrace. Everything was perfect. We felt spoiled and the staff was so caring and nice. Antonia is very helpful and always smiling. The fact that there are only 3 rooms make you feel at home. The room is spacious, well kept and always clean. The kitchen is open from 1030 to 1930 so you can have something to eat anytime you feel like. The food is delicious. The 3 dogs are the entertainment of the place. So funny, loving and very well educated. Sometime you also see monkeys on the trees. If you need to book a tuktuk, I suggest to have it reserved 30 minutes ahead. The lodge is not very close to Diani center and the road is “challenging”, but that is also what make it quiet and special. Definitely recommend if you want to relax. The massages are a plus!

Located on Diani Beach with panoramic ocean views, Waterlovers Beach Resort offers an outdoor pool, a restaurant and free WiFi. The resort is 35 km away from Mombasa. The staff were friendly and helpful and made us feel at home right away. I had forgotten to put in my booking that we had our 1 year old daughter with us and the staff were not fazed at all. We arrived very late but they had thought ahead to ask the driver who collected us from Mombasa to take our order for dinner so there was food for us when we arrived even though the kitchen had closed. The hotel is really beautiful and has an amazing view of the sea. The way the sunbeds and pool is laid out it feels like you are on the beach without actually being on the beach. If you wish to get in the sea it is just down some steps. The staff helped us with all encounters with the hawkers on the beach. It is definitely the most beautiful of the resorts in the area that we saw online and in real life when we explored the area. It looks exactly like the pictures which I have found is not always the case with hotels on booking.com. The food was really good and was much better than what we had been eating on safari and in Nairobi. The highlights were the prawns and tuna. We would have enjoyed a little more variety and African influenced food on the menu but there were daily specials which hit the spot. The staff did seem a little hurt when we had dinner out one night (there's a really good Korean restaurant just at the end of the driveway to the hotel). As the hotel is so small it is understandable that they would want you to eat/spend money with them rather than elsewhere.
