Lady Bowen Bed & Breakfast in Thames offers a 4-star experience within a historic building. Guests enjoy garden and mountain views, complemented by a sun terrace and outdoor seating areas. Breakfast was really good and plentiful. The welcome drink was an unexpected bonus and the host was very informative about the history of the town and the hotel.

The property is so quiet and peaceful and the owner was nice and understanding of how tired we were. Also extremely accommodating when I needed to change my check in time. The room is a very good size, with an extremely comfortable bed. This is a rural retreat, a long way from amenities and restaurants, and a farm stay, with chickens running around in the garden outside. So if you are looking for a very relaxing retreat, to unwind and soak up the views, and are happy to cook for yourself a bit (double halogen hob, microwave, full size fridge freezer) with friendly hosts then I can warmly recommend this lovely place. If you want shopping and restaurants on your doorstep, or are phobic of birds, then this wouldn't be the place for you. Oh, I nearly forgot to mention the hot tub! And the amazing expanse of the stars at night! I loved it!
