We loved our stay at Araw and even extended for two more nights. The location is perfect, it’s near the main street with restaurants, supermarkets, ATM and gas station, but still in a quiet area. The place was always kept clean and the common spaces were really nice. Since it’s a newer homestay, there are some minor things to be improved, such as keeping a stock of toilet paper and a drying rack covered from rain, specifically during the wet season. However, the host, John, made a huge difference, he was always very accommodating to our needs, gave us a lot of tips to explore the island (and even a discount for a nice cafe). He also rented cute scooters for a really good price.

We loved everything about our stay. The villa was spotless and spacious, with lush greenery all around that gave it a wonderfully private feel. We spent hours relaxing and reading on the terrace. The pool was incredible—large, clean, and never crowded—so it felt like our own private oasis. A special thanks to the amazing staff who made us feel truly welcome and at home. We will definitely be coming back!

The food was some of the best we had in the General Luna area. We found it filling, healthy, and a perfect way to replenish ourselves between surf sessions. You can tell a lot of effort was made in crafting the menu. Additionally, the staff were kind and willing to make our stay as comfortable as possible. A special shout-out to Nayim for being so positive and helpful.

Each villa is a complete fully fitted house with kitchen. Featuring a private beach and outdoor pool, Sunset Bay Beach Villas is a beachfront property situated in General Luna. Awesome place to have some privacy and chill! Mikey and his family are really friendly and help with everything they can as well as give you good advice... Mikey quickly teached me how to drive a scooter as well... Also really nice private bay, shared pool as well as free Kajak and Paddle board... But I really mostly enjoyed the house and private pool that was really refreshing after a tour at Siargao Island... Would definitely come again!
