Though we prefer the more spacious, deluxe rooms, even the standard, value oriented room was fine for us. The A/C definitely helps in the summer time, especially in the attic. We loved the facility overall. The whole site is well kept. The swimming pool and spa is a very nice bonus for the price. The sauna only operates in the afternoon, though. Breakfast was included and we were well fed. :) We even used the restaurant a couple of times and no matter what we picked from the a la cart menu, everything was excellent. Unless you have a very, very good reason to stay directly in Banska Stiavnica, stay here instead. You'll thank me afterwards. :)

Galicia Nueva Castle Hotel is situated in Halič and offers luxurious accommodation with a wellness centre, free parking and free WiFi. Pets can be accommodated only in some rooms upon a prior request.... The castle with its surroundings was a sight to be seen, a very atmospheric and memorable place. Inside it was clean and the room was spacy. We had a two storey tower room, and there were views to four directions through the windows. The staff was friendly. The restaurant's food was great. The breakfast was good but not the vastest of selection.

Surrounding by greenery and offering a free usage of an indoor pool and spa area, Hotel Grand Vígľaš, set in a fully restored 13th century castle, is located a 15-minute drive from Zvolen. the room was really nice and clean, the castle atmosphere is perfect, the staff was very good, the restaurants look great and the diner was incredible tasty, nice staff, around the hotel is beautiful, the parking is big enough, the spa was so nice with jacuzzi, pool and a nice sauna

Located just a couple of steps from a ski slope, SALAMANDRA Hotel features a Wellness area with a swimming pool and an on-site restaurant and bar. We liked how friendly the staff was and customer oriented, the Hotel offered a great wellness area, as well as recreational activities in and just around the sorrounding areas. Free parking places were a big plus. The rooms were nicely bright and very clean. Excellent stay!
