Quiet off-season but we loved WAKKA and had amazing help from Hitome, Ricky and Arashi which made our stay very special. Gorgeous apartment-like accommodation looking out over the bridge—v high end, clean, classy. Delicious local fish meal at restaurant across the road—book through hotel as it’s tiny. Cycled up to Sakari port for the boat to Rabbit Island where we spent an hour or so cycling and seeing sweet rabbits and scary ruins. Then cycled on round north end of Omishima (one big hill, but manageable with good gears) and back down to the lovely public baths at Mare Gracia. Ricky from WAKKA picked us up in the free shuttle saving us the final bike ride. Thank you!

Stunning views and everything set up with such care. Great bbq dinner and fun healthy breakfast. The tent was clean and cozy and a big hit with young and old family members.

This air-conditioned tent has a seating area, a terrace, sea views and a shared bathroom. The unit has 4 beds. Location is good at the start of the Shimanamikaido bike ride. Unique experience. Food was ok.

This mobile home has a shared bathroom, a private entrance, a barbecue as well as an outdoor dining area. The unit has 1 bed. Seems like getting here with a car would be easier than public transport. The cottage was close to a river and there was a path down to the river you could take. You can still see some buildings and what looked like a power plant of some type, but the river and surrounding view was pretty enough. The place was exactly what my partner and I were looking for. A quiet cabin close to nature that wasn't too far from a town centre or convenience store (5 mins walk away). It was easy to walk to the 7-11 to get meals or anything else we might need. The cabin was cute, clean and comfortable and had all the utensils you needed for basic cooking. The establishment did not provide any cooking oil or basic condiments but we did not find this a problem (for our little bit of cooking, we bought a small portion of individually wrapped butter pieces, and a bottle of soy sauce under 300yen and left it for the next occupants). The shower was warm and powerful, and the aircon was great at cooling or warming the room. The pillows were filled with beads, and neither my partner nor I were used to them, but we folded up one of the sitting cushions and put that into a pillow case instead, and that worked fine. Checking in and checking out was a breeze. We would return to stay again.
