A really magical place in the middle of nature. A must go if you wanna stay near Udawalawe.

The staff were patient and knowledgeable and they made my experience amazing!!

If you’ve read about the leaches, don’t bother worrying, they’re tiny and a non-event.

L’établissement Kottawatta River Bank Resort vous accueille à Uda Walawe, à 17 km de ce lieu d’intérêt : Parc national d'Uda Walawe. Tout était excellent ! Nous n'avions pas de grandes attentes mais nous avons été agréablement surpris par tout : le personnel est très agréable, les chambres et les installations communes sont très propres, l'environnement est incroyablement calme, et l'excursion safari était parfaitement organisée, en privé pour 2 comme demandé. De plus l'établissement a été très arrangeant, nous avons pu laisser nos bagages dans la chambre au delà de l'heure du check-out jusqu'à notre retour du parc. Vous pouvez même aller à pied jusqu'à la rue principale où vous trouverez des supermarchés et quelques restaurants. Nous recommandons à 100%. Nous avons réservé d'autres hébergements 6 fois plus chers qui se sont avérés être beaucoup moins bien...

Offering river views, this fan-cooled tent has a private entrance, seating area and extra large bed with spring mattress. It includes a hot water shower, towel and shoe racks. The room was spacious, with shower and toilet in an open area, you could really enjoy the nature 😀. The pool was clean, and the place wasn't crowded. We could see the staff taking care of the resort on a daily basis. The food was nice. We got on a safari organized by them, which was also fine. W went for half day 3.30 hrs, and it was more than enough to see all the spices. It is very close to the village where you can walk and find nice restaurants and bars, alongside some really cheap shops.

The property is gorgeous and very natural. There are no eye-sores, everything is very blended with nature. The two swimming pools were really lovely and the restaurant buffet dinners were delicious. The best part was the general manager who went above and beyond to make sure we had a great stay. He engaged with our kids and made sure they stayed busy with basketball, volleyball, arranged a village walk across the river, and made special arrangements on our safari to celebrate my son's birthday. He was like a traditional hotel general manager who treats everybody like his personal guest. It's a really special place and definitely a great base for visiting both Udawalawe and Yala parks.
