It was a real privilege to be able to spend two nights at this fantastic location. Our hut was very comfortable and the nearby shared kitchen and bathroom hut was well equipped. Our host Alana was very welcoming and provided lots of useful information. We spent a lovely day at the station doing the nearby suggested walks and were lucky enough to watch the early morning clouds lift and get a view later on of Mount Cook. The clear skies on our second night afforded us a great view of the Milky Way. By the way, the gravel road up to the station is by no means difficult to negotiate and the end result is most definitely worth it.

Loved the location, how the window faced the view perfectly even with the rise of the sun beaming into the room in the morning. Wood fire hot tub under the stars was for sure a great part of the experience. I really liked how nothing was cheaped out on, great interior designing. This place is in such a beautiful location, with amazing views and lots of native birds around. The tiny house was modern and clean. It was lovely exploring the property on the trails. The hosts Malcolm and Lyn were so lovely. I highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to escape the city and have some relaxation out in nature.
