We came in the evening and the host provided us a ride to a nearby mall to eat and the big spa facility where we could spend time for free using a coupon that they gave us. Breakfast was also very good. Nice place

The owner/chef and staffs were all incredibly welcoming. The feeling of total peace and serenity was indescribable. Also, the fact that there was no television in the room, lets you truly enjoy the nature that surrounds you.

Located in the centre of Takayama city, Machiyado ICHIRYU offers comfortable accommodation on just a 5-minute walk from the Old Town. The package was most enjoyable and we were well looked after. The location was fantastic and the facilities were exemplar. The dinner was unique and delisious.

Realy nice with beautiful garden and calm atmosphere. The owner is wonderful woman. With a lot of good will and she is very helpful. She took us by her car from and to the stations, and also to a very good coffee house, so we could explore the area although we didn't have a car. It really quite unique and we have many good words to say about her. The area is really green and nice with Inuyama as the closest city in which there are beautiful old streets, nice castle and close open museum. We had a great time there especially for the worm hospitality and beautiful house.

This might be the best value hotel in Japan. The rooms are SO spacious and clean and comfortable. There is a fantastic gym located nearby (ask the front desk for a pass). The rooftop onsen were amazing, and there were private family ones available too. Free drink nightly (a draft beer or juice). Decent breakfast spread. And easy enough location from the station and the big tourist spots. My partner is very tall and even he was comfortable here!
