The property was clean, quiet, calm… It was further away from the center of Fès which was perfect because the city was too noisy. After a long day in the city we were able to relax in this beautiful place. The garden also was clean and taken care off you can have a nice breakfast with a view of the pool. There were cats so cute so we brought them food so they could join us. The host is an amazing lady and she made sure that we were comfortable. Everything is already there so no need to take your hair dyer and so on… me and my family loved it !

Every detail is placed with love and attention. Marjorie and Pascal are the perfect hosts, helpful and kind, as well ad very nice people to talk to. They gave us useful tips and were always there in case of need. Breakfast is lovely and served on a beautiful terrace, with a stunning view overseeing the most beautiful Medina we’ve seen in Morocco. All great!

Jawaad and Mahmoud were excellent and very helpful hosts (Thank you!). Large, comfortable and clean rooms. Good breakfast. One of the highlights for us were the evening views over the old medina from the roof terrace.

The welcome was exceptional, and the staff were incredibly warm and attentive. Our room was simply beautiful — tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean. Everything was perfect, down to the smallest detail! We had the chance to enjoy a hammam and massage experience — a truly relaxing and fantastic moment. We also had dinner at the riad and chose the set menu… what a surprise! The portions were very generous, and every dish was absolutely delicious. From start to finish: a refined starter, a flavorful tagine, a delightful dessert, and to top it all off, traditional Moroccan pastries with mint tea… it was perfect! The riad is also ideally located — easily accessible by car with nearby parking. It’s the perfect base to explore the Medina, everything is within easy reach. Honestly, it’s one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever visited. We absolutely loved our stay

We spent three wonderful days at Dar Essoaoude, and we couldn’t have asked for better hosts. Fatima and her daughter Amira took care of us with incredible warmth—always attentive yet respectful of our privacy. Their hospitality struck the perfect balance between kindness and discretion. The breakfasts were, without a doubt, the best we had in all of Morocco—lavish, delicious, and varying slightly each day. You won’t believe your eyes when Amira brings out plate after plate of mouthwatering treats! Our room was beautiful, complete with a terrace where we could enjoy our breakfast. Everything was impeccably clean, and to our surprise, the bed linens were changed daily—something we hadn’t even expected. For those three days, Fatima became our Moroccan aunt, making sure we felt completely at home. The house itself is cozy, charming, and in a fantastic location. If we ever return to Fez, we wouldn’t think twice about staying here again. If you're considering booking this place, don’t hesitate—you won’t regret it!

In the Medina but just a little - you won’t get lost getting there and can be dropped off close by Taxi. This side of the Medina was also nicer than others. The room was beautifully adorned, clean, and comfortable. The rooftop terrace has incredible views of the city, the mountains, and even part of new town Fes. The host was very welcoming and accommodating. If I ever return to Fes, this is the only place i would stay.
