The accomodation is a series of cabin-like rooms a short walk into the main lobby/restaurant area. There is a desk & bar area & plenty of cupboard space. The bed & pillows were very comfortable, and the deck & the views to the gardens outside very peaceful. The grounds are beautiful, including a fully labelled herb and vegetable garden. There are 2 pool areas, one for kids which is also a great idea. Transport can be arranged by golf cart to and from the restaurant but we enjoyed the walk. The breakfast was excellent, huge range of choices, and the dinners too, although it was pretty pricey. There is a separate spa centre and its a 10 minute drive into Comporta.

After having been at Quinta de Alfaval a couple of years ago, we decided to return this here for a few days to rest and enjoy nature and all the things for kids to play available at the farm. Besides this, we've also been able to appreciate the great gastronomy from Alentejo, recommended by the hosts! Speaking about the hosts, so welcoming, always available and doing everything to ensure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. It won't be the last time we visit Quinta do Alfaval, it's going to keep bookmarked to a future family vacation for sure.
