The apartment was spacious but so thoughtfully laid out and decorated that it felt relaxing and homely, not impersonal. The kitchen was generously stocked and the view of the river was spectacular. I enjoyed using the swimming pool at the spa and the view of Porto from the restaurant terrace. The location was excellent - just at the fringe of Vila Nova de Gaia and within walking distance of attractions but far enough from all the noise and crowds of Porto.

This place is amazing. but what makes it extra special is the staff. they are the best - super friendly and helpful. we had a couple of problems ( no one’s fault) that they solved with tact and efficiency. I truly felt a part of the family. The food was great, the rooms very comfortable, and. the grounds were beautiful. I liked it so much we extended a day and I wished we could have stayed longer.
