I travel a lot and spend a long time away from home, so cleanliness, comfort, and beauty around me are very important. I found all of this at La Tigra Mountain House. The beds are wide, the mattresses are comfortable. The hostess of the house is very attentive and caring. And I would like to highlight the view separately. It's fantastic!!! The Platanar and Porvenir volcanoes are visible as if in the palm of your hand. Sunrises, clouds running at eye level, and hovering birds attract and compel you to stop and enjoy life. In the morning, I tried to exercise, but it smoothly transitioned into meditation... As they say, it's better to see once than hear a hundred times!! Come and see for yourself. I recommend it...

- Arelys , the host, is the friendliest and most helpfull host we had in our trip in Costa Rica. - the bed is comfy and big - the room feels big (nice high sealing) and there is a coffee machine and fridge ! - its very clean and hygienic, it smells clean when you enter the room - overall it feels cosy and specially Arelys and her familie make you feel at home

We had such a wonderful time and were lucky to stay at villa (#7) that was only recently built. Berenice at the "reception" was such a great help by providing the best local dinner and activity information which we gladly made use off. Parking behind the fence and Internet were great too. The premise is very green with chickens, a pair of Tucan, birds and colorful plants and flowers. We enjoyed the pool and jacuzzi and prepared breakfast at the outdoor kitchen where coffee and eggs from the chickens were for free. By taxi/Uber it was just a couple minutes ride into La Fortuna but we can also recommend the restaurants opposite of Villa Tucan. We can highly recommend Villa Tucan and Berenice as a host.
