This was one of the super surprises. The rooms are in the very centre of the hamlet beside the church and situated above a really great restaurant (same ownership). Everything was spanking brand new and beautifully done. Maybe we struck lucky, but we had the biggest twin room of the trip so far with large, double-aspect windows offering delightful views across the rolling green fields and woods beyond the village. Bathroom was also large and super modern. Beds and pillows good, linen good, socket and shelving and light switches near both beds, chairs for sitting/putting stuff on, fully functioning aircon/heating, and a large shared terrace outside the room that would be nice for warmer weather. The restaurant was great with an interesting menu featuring good local dishes and ingredients and everything I chose was utterly delicious. The two brothers who respectively run the restaurant and the rooms are both exceptionally nice and it's a good place to practise your Spanish!

The place is stunning 🤩, the pool is perfect with a nice view, the staff is friendly and kind. The best is the room, the bed is super comfortable and the jacuzzi is the best you can find after a long walking day in the camino the Santiago. Even if the price is higher for the pilgrim route it really worth to pay it to have a pleasant stay and recharge batteries, it worth it. The restaurant is amazing, is a gem in this small village, great food and a lot of options in the menu and super kind staff.

Immaculately clean and the staff were absolutely amazing. So much patience explaining the spa and breakfast when we only speak English and they only speak Spanish. We cannot praise them highly enough.

Very clean, modern stand alone guest house, had washing line to dry clothes, excellent room facilities ie: bath, shower etc, staff extremely friendly and relaxing atmosphere where we could enjoy sitting in deck chairs in sun outside or inside to enjoy refreshments, World Soccer Cup 2024 between Spain and England was held on the night of ourn stay, very enjoyable to be in Spain who want the World Cup, would highly recommend to family and friends to book accommodation at Posada de Suesa. Value for money. I loved the closed wooden balcony (pic.). Make-up mirror in the bath. AC was excellent. Staff go out of their way to satisfy you. There was a misunderstanding with something I ordered for dinner. These things happen when you don't speak the native language. Even though I insisted on paying, they did not charge me. Very professional!! The most important of all - Congratulations to the chef ---- magnificent cuisine!!! ADVICE FOR PILGRIMS---treat yourself and go to Escalante. You don't have to stay in Laredo, Santoña, Noja, etc. Escalante is a 15min. bus ride away. Buses run all day. Check it out.

    This is a charming rural hotel in a quiet village just a short drive from the ferry terminal in Santander. Stayed for two nights in a very nice large room with balcony and excellent bathroom. The place is well positioned for exploring the Cantabrian countryside and the beaches. There is also a good bar and restaurant for dinner close to the hotel.
