Both me and my husband were travelling to a few places in France by car.we had booked 3 places on line.Staying with 2 Gentlemen and their beautiful dog was a big plus for us .the apartment they had was so beautiful. Spotless.everything was provided down to the breakfast .I would highly recommend this beautiful appartmet without hesitation. Location wise this hotel is second to none, being in the Harbour. from the moment you enter you see the mix of history with considered style and architecture, that works perfectly. If you get chance to small room at the top of the hotel is perfect for seeing the whole of St Martin de Re whilst being able the reflect and relax. An amazing place to stay

Le Laternon is a home and an adventure in one. Everywhere you turn you are comforted and delighted by what you see and feel. From the incredible art works on the walls to the perfectly worn wood and finders linens….. it was difficult to tear myself away to venture outside. I imagine coming back in the wintertime. And Autumn, and spring….again and again.

This was an absolutely perfect stay. The property is in a perfect location, an easy 10 minute walk from the centre of the pretty town. The gardens are a peaceful and perfectly maintained oasis, and the pool area is luxurious and tranquil. Our apartment was next to the pool, with a little terrace with table and chairs to enjoy a quiet moment. Everything about this property is focussed on ensuring that you have a wonderful stay. The apartment is tastefully decorated with everything you might need (plenty of towels, toiletries, chargers, coffee machine…) and impeccably clean. And the fantastic breakfast is delicious and plentiful, with access to a well equipped kitchen during the day (with coffee, tea, cold drinks, and often other treats). Our generous hosts could not have been kinder, giving us such a warm welcome on arrival, and every time we saw them. They achieved a perfect balance of making their guests feel welcome and incredibly well cared for, and also with the time and space to quietly switch off and enjoy the holiday. After 5 days, we feel completely rested and are already planning a return visit. I cannot recommend this property highly enough. We loved it!
