This traditional Yamaguchi guest house was outstanding. The owner and host, Sanae-san was charming and friendly and immediately made us feel welcome. The facilities were spacious and clean. We cooked multi course meals in the well appointed kitchen, and our host even helped with recipe tips and supplemental ingredients for our meal. Our host was also extremely helpful in providing information for sightseeing. We visited the Rurikoji temple with its magnificent pagoda, and the spectacular Akiyoshido caves. I recommend that you plan a stay in Yamaguchi and seek out this wonderful guest house.

The tranquility of the place and small river next to it, you could hear it running at night as tiny town so small, mountains around you, nice to escape the big cities 😀, and the host, this guy nos how to make a kiwi feel at home!!!
