The staff was the friendliest, they were very sweet and welcoming. They even drove me to the station twice as it was very hot and rainy. Big thank you to Ana and Masa, I cannot stress enough how lovely they were! There is a bar/restaurant, I didn't get breakfast or dinner but I had a few drinks and they were very nice and cheap. The bedroom and bathroom facilities had everything you need, even a small fridge in the room. Very comfortable and AMAZING view on the ocean!! Worth it for the money

Everything was perfect! They are great people, very kind and thoughtful and are going to try and help you anyway they can. There is private onsen that you can use. Shower rooms and toilets as well as everything else was kept perfectly clean. Room was great. Location is great, only a few minutes away (if you are walking) from train station and bus for Nachi falls. I would highly recommend staying here if you are visiting Nachikatsuura!

We stayed here after hiking the Nakahechi route! Beautiful home stay with really lovely owners, thank you for your hospitality! Clean facilities and a common room kitchen space to utilise. Location is out of Kii Katsuura/Nachi. But you can catch bus, walk or hire the bikes from the information centre at the Kii Katsuura station!

We enjoyed our one night stay after the kumano kodo hike. Great location right next to the train station and 5 min walk to the harbor (tuna auction). It was very clean and has all the amenities you need. Spacious room and shared bathroom with 1 other room. Easy self check-in. We used the luggage delivery service Yamato and it worked out great. The owner was very friendly and responsive to messages. He also owns a restaurant on the other side of the train station, which I can highly recommend!

I highly recommend travellers to stay at this guest-house, especially if you want to experience Japanese country life. People in shimosato are friendly, and the owners were kind and answered questions in time. The house is kept clean, and has a very nice space for cooking.

Everything. The interiors, everything is so clean. He also has a lot of free stuff like the shave ice which we thoroughly enjoyed, the bath was amazing the whole place is an old Japanese house with modern fittings inside. We really enjoyed our stayed here. We will definitely come back here. The staff was amazing and really helpful. It is also close to the shrine.

I really like the owner. She was really very helpful and helped me for my trip so much. The place itself was also nice and clean. She also hasva small shop selling some sweet bun. If you try it bewsre the birds around shingu who stole half of mine. 🙂

The monk who runs the property was so helpful recommending local restaurants and giving advice and even gave us a lift to the station. There were free drinks including alcohol. The rooms are part of a temple. The hotel is very close to the main shrine and not far from the station so a great location. The place to stay in Shingu. Good value for money.
