I recently had the pleasure of staying at Train View Chalet in Bandarawela, and I can't say enough good things about this hidden gem. From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the natural beauty and tranquility that surrounds this charming retreat. Nestled amidst the lush greenery, Train View Chalet offers a unique experience of being right next to the railways, allowing you to witness the enchanting sight of trains passing by. The natural setting here is truly a haven of peace and relaxation. It feels like you're living in harmony with nature, making it an ideal spot to unwind and destress. What impressed me the most was the impeccable cleanliness of the rooms, ensuring a comfortable and hygienic stay. One of the highlights of our stay was the delectable food prepared by the talented kitchen staff. What sets Train View Chalet apart is that they make each dish fresh to order. The breakfast offered a wide range of choices, and the portions were generous. We also enjoyed a delightful dinner that left our taste buds craving for more.Train View Chalet in Bandarawela is a hidden paradise for nature enthusiasts and anyone seeking a peaceful escape. Lush in Ella is a brand new venue and a true hidden gem in the middle of the jungle. Yet it is very close to the center of the town. The owner Saman and her husband made us feel very special, especially pampering us with delicious homemade breakfasts. The room, bathroom, and balcony are very clean, the Internet works well, The washroom is spacious.

10000/10!! Clean, spacious, modern, hot shower, great water pressure, hair dryer, nail clipper, mosquito net private entrance. Terrace, breakfast. You have your own little jungle. This is the best homestay in all of Sri Lanka for us. Hosts are beautiful people who do so much for you but respect your privacy also. They make you the best breakfast in the world. One day we stayed in the mountains hiking whole day and texted them that we don't need breakfast and they made us dinner. They are the best possible people, we loved them so much! Thank you for everything, we will forever be grateful and will return one day for sure! We will recommend you to everyone!! We already miss this homestay and hosts 😊

Super friendly staff, clean room and great food! Plus: very good communication and help with pickup from the train!

The owner, Asanka, met us on the road and took us to the hotel. At that moment, there was a power cut in the area and Asanka did everything to make our evening wonderful - he lit candles so that there was light, prepared tea for us and treated us to a pie. He really wanted us to be comfortable, it's very nice! Soon the electricity returned. the rooms were clean, nice neat bed, clean bathroom, shower with hot water! Each room had bottled drinking water. In the morning you can see an amazing view from the balcony - you can see the mountains, the waterfall, on the other hand you can look at the train (they don't run at night, so we slept great). There were no mosquitoes and flies! We also had a wonderful breakfast in the morning! There was tea, milk, scrambled eggs, toast with butter and jam, and a wide variety of fruits.
