Where do I start? Absolutely beautiful hotel ran by the nicest couple. I needed to recharge far from the madding crowd and this was the perfect place. Fabulous hotel! Don’t look anywhere else , Zanzibar House is the perfect getaway.

First of all i have to say that i didn’t look at the map while booking so i missed the fact that this guesthouse is not near any stores or restaurants. If I knew that maybe I wouldn’t book it and this would be a huge mistake! We loved this place sooooo much! We were lucky to be there all alone (me and my husband) without other guests and sometimes it really felt like home. Nice pool, nice beach, if you want anything to eat the amazing host Margaret has a menu of lunches and dinners and she is a great cook. This place is really for those who need some quiet private time. If you want to go for shopping and some other entertainment you can always ask for taxi to Nungwi. We did it once and then regretted cause this town was too busy and noisy we were happy to come back to Matumaini. Near the guesthouse there are couple of small zoos and also you can try several boat trips right from the guesthouse. Every day we had the nicest chats with Margaret and really enjoyed her company. All of the villa staff were very sweet. It broke my heart a little when we had to leave. Highly recommended, wonderful experience! Margaret we are happy to know you, miss you!

The room and the facilities are very comfortable. The breakfast is rich and delicious. The owner and his assistant, Viktor are exceptionally friendly and helpful in really everything. The biggest help was that Viktor arranged motorcycle taxi (boda-boda) every day to the beach. The price is 3.000. TSH. for one way. Thank you again Jusuf and Viktor for the cosy accomodation :)

First of all we owe a huge thanks to the management of the place, helping us retrieve our camera bag that we left in our taxi after a day trip. You can really count on these guys, that is for sure. The room was spectacular, all the materials used in this formal master bedroom was just marvellous. The ocean beach right in front of the place has the smoothest sand around, spent actual hours walking back and forth after sunset there. The restaurant/bar where we had our breakfast and dinner had the best food that we tried all over Zanzibar. The garden and the pool is regularly cleaned and maintaned as well. The accomodation is decorated very nicely with local accessories and furniture. All in all, we had a great time here :)

This is one of the best places I have stayed at. The room was great (we stayed in the new bungalows - highly recomend), the staff was super friendly and the place in general has a great vibe. We stayed there for a week, we were working remotely so we used their "digital nomads space". The interent worked pretty well 90% of the time. The restaurant had decent options and it wasn't pricy at all.

The breakfast was fresh and delicious with plenty of options to choose from. The location was great and close to everything we needed. A big shout-out to Mohammed (Muddi) at the reception; he was so welcoming and really made us feel at home.

Ondo House is located only 2 mins from beach, with nice swimming pool and terrace where you can chill after tasty breakfast. Rooms are simple and beautiful, cleaning service everyday if you need. Big beds make you sleep very comfortably trough all of the night. There is no problem with Wi-Fi and air cooling. All of the people from Ondo House are so lovely it made us sad to say goodbye. They are there to do everything to make your stay unforgettable and smooth. They organized trips for us as well. Please don’t hesitate to tell them all of your desires because they are ready to make your wishes come true !! Definitely coming back.

Clean and cozy accommodation with everything you need - both in the room (hot shower, A/C) and outside (spacious area, pool, sunbeds, and a sleeping net). Breakfast is served in the outdoor area, and the staff was amazing! The owner and staff had great connections, allowing us to book two trips at affordable prices, arrange an airport transfer, and organize transportation from the hotel to various locations, such as Kendwa Beach, and back. The owner also gave us excellent recommendations for the best beaches!
