I'm not a dog lover but was attracted by the price, location and great reviews. Incredible place. Very clean for starters - no dog hairs, e.g., on the inside, which I had been a bit worried about. And to my surprise I really loved THESE dogs - magnificent, strong animals but also well-behaved and gentle. They're obviously well-trained and well-treated. I almost didn't go on the morning walk, and that would have been a big mistake - it turned out (like for many people!) to be a highlight of my trip. I'd love to go back in the winter for the sledding. Also, as all reviewers rightly note, the owners are very friendly.

Located on the shores of Lake Saint-Jean, this hotel in St-Gédéon, Quebec features kayak rentals, an on-site spa and seasonal restaurant. Simple guest rooms include cable TV. It is always a great stay at this place. The location is great, the view to the lake is stunning, and the food is incredible. All facilities are really nice. The staff is also really nice.
