And his guesthouse turned out to be a wonderful escape from a busy and touristy Yunnan. I am so happy I went and will be back many times again! The guesthouse itself is a great value for the price - huge clean rooms, excellent shower, amazing fews, fantastic common space, great meals, good homely atmosphere. Though the real gem is Jackie. From the moment I made a booking to the day AFTER my departure Jackie always made himself available to answer all the questions, help with transportation, plan my days, give advice. Once locals learned I was Jackie's guest, I always got royal treatment wherever I went - that's how much he is respected. And deservingly so. He planned a perfect hiking day for me by providing clear descriptions of all trails, drawing maps, even giving pictures of trail views for reference. He was also in constant contact to make sure I was on the right path. I am city person, and even though Jackie did all the hand-holding and everything for me not to get lost, I got lost anyway. And ended up with a dead phone battery in the middle of nowhere ricefields caught in the rain very late evening. Jackie, being Jackie, got in the car and went searching for me. With the help of the locals in one of the surrounding villages, Jackie was able to locate me and safely brought me back. I was overwhelmed with gratitude! I have never experienced such caring and generous host in all my years of travel. I will fondly remember Yuanyang and Jackie, who made Yuanyang simply perfect!

Dali Yunxi Boutique Inn features accommodation situated 700 metres from the centre of Dali and provides a garden and a bar. This place is very charming and clean, and calm. Dolma is the owner of the place. She is working hard , and always smile from morning to night. Impressive. Her food is so good. She is always here for any of your needs. I want to know her secret to stay a so active and charming woman 🤭🌺 Advices : 1/ Take the room at the 2nd floor the view is more beautiful. 2/ Try the egg omelette of Dolma, it s simple and very tasty. Try also the chicken sandwich, the bread is made home and the pancakes. 😁

Lijiang Ancient Town is an 11-minute walk from Mama Naxi Guesthouse. Lijiang Railway Station is an 18-minute drive away. Lijiang Sanyi Airport is 20 km from the property. We have a comfortable stay at the Guest house. Location is very convenient, room is comfortable and the owners are very helpful and friendly. They gave us good tips and help to arrange transportation for our tiger leaping gorge trip.

Centrally located in Lijiang Ancient Town, Xilu Xiaoxie Inn features cosy accommodation with traditional Chinese furnishings and modern facilities. Free Wi-Fi access is provided in the entire property. Guests can use self-laundry and dryer facilities for free. This wonderful guesthouse is placed inside the Lijiang Old Town, so the location is perfectly central and also quiet beacuse the guesthouse stands at the end of a tiny street. To go outside the old town you have to walk about 5-10 min. and there you can catch DiDi (taxi) or a bus. The helpful service is, next to the property location, another strong point of this place. Everything can be done for you there: they will book a bus ticket for you if you don't know how or you simply don't want to due to language barriers; they will help you with your luggage when you arrive (beacuse cars are not allowed in the old town district); they will order a food to you when all nearby restaurants are closed due to late hour. Breakfast was also very good - you can choose local or western option.

Featuring inner courtyard views, 大理沙溪云喜七月精品客栈 Shaxi Ancient Town Yunxi Qiyue Guesthouse in Jianchuan features accommodation and a garden. This property offers access to a patio and free private parking. The homestay has family rooms. I can't find the words to describe how perfect my stay was. The room was immaculate, the bedding extremely comfortable. The toiletries were top of the range. And the breakfasts... absolutely delicious! Located 2 minutes from the center, this hotel is ideal for a relaxing stay in Shaxi. The host, Lynn, was lovely and always helpful to this French tourist who doesn't speak Chinese (me)! She also sells pottery featuring the local cat mascot: Wa Mao. If I wasn't backpacking for six months, I would have loved to buy some, they're so cute. Just go! ☀️

This recently renovated guest house is located 5.1 km from Yu'er Park and 5.2 km from Dali Foreigner Street. The guest house has family rooms. Very good location, walkable distance to the lake side. Nice and clean, very friendly landlady.

Featuring a garden and views of mountain, 山田心精品民宿 Valley Heart Inn is a recently renovated guest house located in Lijiang, less than 1 km from Nanmen Bridge. The property features river and garden views, and is 1.1 km from Zhongyi Market. Boasting family rooms, this property also provides guests with a picnic area. A wonderful homestay with warm, helpful owners who shared great local tips and thoughtfully arranged a ground-floor room for my elderly parents. Everything was excellent—just note that vehicle access can be a bit challenging due to the narrow road, and a short walk from the main road is required.
