Great location close to Freiburg, the Black Forest, Alsace region and Basel Switzerland as well the charming town of Staufen. The room was decorated lovely, with the reclaimed wood and the exposed stone. The host was friendly and helpful. We really liked the fact that they gave us a complimentary train ticket to use during our stay, which we used to take the train to Basel for the Christmas market. We definitely plan on staying here again in the summer to enjoy this wonderful region of Germany.

The hoste Frau Hauer is very friendly, the self check-in easy and the apartment very beautiful. Fully renovated, in a traditional guesthouse, very well equipped. Super good bed, small but convenient kitchen with all required utensils. Clean shower, small living room. Possibly to eat outside at the private courtyard. Space to store and charge the e-bike. The small town of Grunern is beautiful and perfect spot for hikes or bike trips into the Schwartzwald region. Not to forget: the small welcome bottle of white wine and the Konus Card (enabling you to travel for free with the train to e.g. Feiburg). We would definitely stay here again!

From the time we arrived until we left we felt right at Home . The Hospitality was amazing . The Suites where so comfy , well decorated . the Kitchen was fully stocked with everything you need to cook a meal. We added Breakfast and it was such a treat . So many home made choices. The Host was so helpful with local Restaurants and anything we needed help with.

Wellness Pension am Rain provides modern rooms and free Wi-Fi internet in the village of Winden im Elztal in the heart of the Black Forest. we liked the peaceful feeling, and were able to fully relax. I liked the pool and was aware it was small, but it was enjoyable. The relaxing room was also nice. We thought the apartment was very comfortable.

Surrounded by Black Forest countryside, Pension Schlossberg offers rooms with a balcony and satellite TV. It lies in the small town of Simonswald, a 20-minute drive from Freiburg. We highly recommend Pension Schlossbergblick if you would like to visit the Black Forest. The owners were very helpful and kind, and really tried their best to overcome our language barrier. The room was decorated in a regional style, very clean, good space, nice balcony with a view over the village and forest, and the beds we found to be very comfortable. The breakfast was generous and our hosts insisted we pack lunch for the day which was really helpful. Unfortunately our youngest son had a medical emergency during our stay and our holiday was cut short. Our host was really understanding to our situation. We will definitely come back as there is so much to do and the location is just about perfect.
