Victor and his family were so kind and welcoming. I arrived to a lovely fire and within a few minutes of arriving had a meal ready for me. Breakfast was a huge meal and prices for the lunch is really good. It was such a nice place with beautiful view, so quiet and peaceful and right next to the start of the quilotoa loop trek.

The staff is always so kind, this was my second time staying here and they really make the experience great. The included dinner is amazing, and the set up is great to meet new people. There are plenty of blankets for the chilly weather.

The room was clean and well-sized with good-state furniture.

There is also a well-fitted kitchen in some of the units equipped with a dishwasher, an oven, and a microwave. We stayed at Posada Tambuca before and after our trip to the Galapagos islands. The owners Yolanda and Carlos were very welcoming and friendly. The helped us with recommendations (like laundry service) and we did both airport transfers with them. During our trip to the Galapagos we could leave a part of our luggage there. The rooms including bathrooms were clean and we felt very much at home. We highly recommend staying at Posada Tambuca.

I really loved everything about this hostel. What makes it so special is the family that live and work there as well the volunteers who were super helpful and friendly and just made it feel like home. They're even doing tours and salsa classes to keep guests engaged and feel part of the family. I also appreciate having a big garden with hammocks and a gym!! Its the perfect refuge from a tiring day out in the bustling old town. Another thing to mention was the amazing free coffee, pool table, netflix and speedy laundry service!
