This guesthouse is truly a gem, Brian makes sure you have an amazing stay! You can tell he really cares about his guests. The room and bathroom are very clean and comfortable. The food is incredible too (plenty of vegan and vegetarian options)! I did a 2 night jungle trek with them as well and everything was very well organised, great food and fruit on the trek, comfortable campsites by the river and close to a waterfall. You could tell that the guide really enjoyed being in nature, he had so much knowledge about the animals and plants and made us feel really safe. I got a bee sting and he had magic oil that made the sting disappear in just 30 min! I had a really great stay and trek with Brian and his team and definitely recommend them and would definitely come back one day! :)

The hospitality is great! Easy communication with the host. Robert was great at getting back to me with questions I had. The place is very clean, comfortable bed. I had an excellent meal there. Hot shower. The view is beautiful. The place is located in a more secluded area, not near the city but very close to the ferry.

Je n'évaluerais pas l'établissement nous n'étions pas venus pour. Par contre la sortie avec Johny et llana fut une fantastique journée. Nos guides se sont adaptés à nous et notre condition, un grand coup de cœur pour llana, qui avec sa gentillesse, et sa prévenance nous a grandement aidé, tu feras un très grand guide. Tout était très bien organisé que ce soit la voiture le treck avec tous les bons fruits. Une expérience que nous garderons

Tout le personnel aux attentes de leurs clients, service de navette depuis Medan et pour Berastagi, activité proposé incroyable (2J1N) dans la jungle ce que je recommande fortement, gardiennage des bagages pendant l'activité, très bon rapport qualité/prix, restaurant en face très bon, emplacement proche de la nature, de la rivière et de la jungle

Excellent family that made feel as a member of their warm and kind community ❤️ They treated me so kind, they were helpful and took care of me what was really nice. Thank you 😊 Their jungle trekking also was high-quality in service, attention and entertainment. I stayed several weeks instead of a few days, def would like to come back.

Exceptional bathrooms and room facilities. The hosts (Borja and Yuyun) with their staff are very hands-on with any requests and queries, etc. They even arranged for snorkelling, dolphin watching trip and transport etc. The on-site restaurant serves good food and good service. Would definitely come and stay again, and recommend to friends and family.

I have been in Bukit Lawang for the past two months and have stayed at Sahnan several saturdays during my stay. It's location is great as it's on the side of the river where motorbikes don't usually go so it tends to be quiet (expect for saturdays when there's a party at the guesthouse next door). Great value and very comfortable and the staff have been super nice to me and always happy to help.

It's just great to arrive here after a long flight. A very, very helpful staff will help you with all your questions. After leaving my card in the ATM, they took me to the city, waited for over an hour with me, then took me to another bank. I took up the entire morning of two people and their car due to my stupidity and just a tip was sufficient. It just feels so good to be helped like that. You just don't get that where I'm from. A clean and calm place to escape the busyness of Medan and I can recommend Bua to be your starting and exit point to beautiful Sumatra.
