Our unexpected highlight of the trip!

Le fonctionnement des équipements est expliqué de façon très efficace et bienveillante, c’est très appréciable à l’époque des boîtes à clés et arrivées autonomes. La maison est sublime, très ancienne et rénovée avec goût, la cuisine professionnelle permet de se préparer de vrai repas, un bon point avec des enfants! Idéalement placée au pied du mont Aso, cette maison a été le point fort de notre voyage au Japon et nous en garderons un merveilleux souvenir.

Yoshi was one of the most welcoming hosts I’ve met. He took the time to explain the area in detail, which really helped me make the most out of my stay and gave me extra motivation to explore. The BBQ he organizes was not only delicious but also a unique chance to meet people and enjoy a local experience. The sleeping area was quiet, comfortable, and well taken care of, making it easy to rest after a full day. Overall, a wonderful stay that I highly recommend to anyone visiting the area.

It was -3°C when I woke up at 7:30am, so cold and I decided to go back to sleep... but when I drew the curtain and looked outside, the scenery was amazing that I immediately grabbed my coat and gloves to take some pictures outside. The room itself was spacious if you're only traveling with your partner, it would be packed if you're a group of 3 to 4. Very clean and cozy. Everyone mentioned the breakfast so we ordered it too! Self-grown vegetables, homemade jam and yogurt... even the honey was from their own beebox! So healthy and natural food... We were truly amazed.

Lovely hostel. Warm welcome. Beautiful property. Good facilities. As an introvert who uses hostels purely for cost reasons, I found this a good one! About a 20 minute walk from the station.

Very beautiful, clean guesthouse that was renovated from an old japanese home. The owners are both very kind and went out of their way to make my stay as nice as possible. You can tell that they really care about this place! Aso station (startpoint for the tour bus) can be reached in around 20 mins with bus or train. At night it is quiet and even in the summer surprisingly cool. I highly recommend to stay here if you are visiting Aso!

The host, which I was allowed to call Rio is super nice and welcoming. And as a young traveler he created a very safe and calm atmosphere. The hostel was super comfortable, clean and had everything I needed. Kikuchi is such a nice place with many beautiful spots around the area. I rented a bike from Rio and drove around on my first day, and I was positively overwhelmed by the beauty of the nature! I can recommend to go here!:)

Arrivé sur place tard le soir, kimio nous a demandé si on voulait prendre un bain. Elle nous a offert à boire. Même si elle ne parle que japonnais elle essaye au maximum de vous aider avec le traducteur. Le jour où on est parti il pleuvait et elle nous a gentiment proposer de nous amener. Le quartier est calme et la gare nichi-kumamoto et pas loin du logement. Établissement parfait.

L’établissement 民泊サライ七城 se trouve à Kikuchi, à 18 km de ce lieu d’intérêt : Source chaude de Hirayama. Il propose un jardin, un salon commun et un parking privé gratuit. Bien accueilli - super petit-déjeuner japonais fait maison et copieux - calme dans la maison et environnement extérieur - j’ai eu droit à une chambre avec 2 petits lits et un grand salon/bureau le tout séparé. C’était au RDC. Une cuisine/salle de bain et des wc partagés au RDC. J’ai pu communiquer avec le couple , sont très gentil et donnent de bonnes infos touristiques. Je reviendrai avec un grand plaisir pour rester plus de temps. Il faut absolument une voiture pour s’y rendre. Je n’ai pas vérifier les autres moyens de transport
