Authentic Japanese experience. This is a family-run hotel with various offered services. Ski renting and lesson can be done at the hotel. Ken is truly an amazing teacher. Very patient and encouraging. We booked 3 lessons with him and very satisfied. As for food, we opted for half board option and find that the dinners, in every nights we stayed, are delicious and nutritional. Ski-in/ski-out is very convenient. The ski lift is right in front of the hotel. The Sun Valley area is also great for both beginner and intermediate skiers with green/red/black slopes in one area. On weekdays, there are almost no people there, which is nice if you want to practice or learn to ski. The bus stop to the city and other areas is only 100m away. The 24-h onsen is perfect after a tiring day of skiing. The family's hospitality is unmatched. I broke my glasses and Captain helped me fix them :) they literally have everything. Highly recommend!

We had fantastic stay. Hosts were exceptionally hospitable and friendly. Accommodation was extremely clean, comfortable and quiet.Dinner and breakfast were beautifully presented, plentiful and delicious . Onsen was very convenient, clean and fun.
It is set about a 10’ walk (slight uphill) from Yudanaka train station, and is a convenient base for visiting the snow monkeys, and onsens. Inspite of it being an old wooden house, it was calm and quiet; and I had most peaceful nights. The hosts were very caring and gave me good tips on places to visit.
A special charming place with very nice and interesting host in a green surrounding. We loved to have long walks through the countryside and enjoyed the onsen.
Great host, breakfast, location.
Great location, lovely host.
Beautiful traditional building Beautifully decorated with private outdoor onsen. Great , welcoming host. Great location in an amazing town.
The guest house is cost effective and the host is friendly. The host placed a futon warmer to make our sleep more comfortable. Very considerate!
Great hosts. They pick you up from Yudanaka station and take you to the monkey park. The couple who runs/ owns the place were very lovely and accommodating. The rooms was huge, the pace is clean, beds were comfortable. The onsen onsite would have been great but because the temperature needs to be manually regulated we couldn’t use it as it was too hot for us. We had a lovely stay , and will go back again if we visit the area.
Yoshiro was a very accomodating host. In spite of the language, he never failed to communicate well with us and he cooked well. The guest house was charming and cozy and our room looked and felt authentic Japanese.
